Shot some handloads today that I had loaded 40 years ago.
I found the original walnut stock of a Remington 700 .30-06 that I had bought in 1984. I used it with the original stock for several years before buying a synthetic stock for this rifle. Recently I found the original stock, and decided to bed the stock with JB weld , and free float the barrel. I got it back together this morning, so I took it to the range to see how it shoots after the work I put into it. I grabbed a box of reloads that had a sticker on the box indicating that I had loaded these on 2-12-85. They shot fine forty years after being loaded.

Nice! I think ammo that is stored reasonably will outlast any of us.

Drifter, At my age,if any ammo I load lasts 4 or 5 years, I'll be happy!!!! BTW I finally got that 53 Winchester 25-20 but I had to go down and pick it up. It is as pretty as my second wife…..! Stay safe my friend.
