Our son just turned 62!!! and has retired from U.P.S. with 37 years of service. And five years with the city of Sparks, Nv. Dammit, Ma en me must be gittin' old! But as my old friend Fackie use to say “jus' ‘cause dere’s snow on da roof done mean deres no fire in da furnace!”. Life is good. Dint git no deer this year but bear seezen is on, turkey starts on the 10th and we allus keep a sharp eye out fer enny critters that got run over long side the hiway. Life is gud. Took my SS this time last year. Wanted to wait 'til 65, but my hip and leg had enough of ten hour day five day weeks.

Met a guy back 5 years ago at an estate sale, he worked for UPS but was 56 years old and said the pension from them is very unfunded. So he got a metal detector and was going through all the beaches here and found a pile of gold rings, like 50 of them and says that's his retirement. UPS is the principle funder of the Teamsters. BIL has a Teamsters pension, but was cut in half to 660 a month because they are so unfunded like 46%, I hope the funding got better since then.
