S&W Model 29-2 Nickel 4" unfired, value
I have a S&W 4" 29-2, unfired, new condition, in my safe. No box or papers. Any ideas on current value?

Just checking asking prices I saw were in the range of $ 1700 to $2250. No box really kills the value that would be a lot higher. None of the others had a box and papers at their asking prices.

Asking prices mean little. The SOLD prices run from $1000 to $1350 in the brief search I did. I only look at finished auctions when I am researching gun values.

Thank you. This is true, you can ask anything that you would like, but the sold price is what matters. I have found about the same prices when I have looked.

If the asking prices are $1700 how are you going to get them down to $1100? You can have my BIL's model 29, with the deep turn line and it's loose as a goose for $1100. I'll go by asking prices and professional estimates all day long as official estimates.
