Most of the cheap imported guns are all metal. Plastic shows up on the middle range of Made in USA like Colt and Kimber. Just triggers and mainspring housings.

First time I ever heard of a Colt 1911 described s middle range. I have many handguns and some dating back to 1900. The only plastic parts I've run across are the grip panels.
