Picnic Table for Shooting
I know I talked about it years ago. Went and did it. Put new wood on the picnic table with 100 year old oak 2x12's. Now what do I treat it with?
Will linseed oil stain clothes?
Will outdoors uv Polyurethane work?
Should I use an epoxy boat sealer?
It will stay under a pavilion roof at the pasture shooting range. So it will have some protection.
The frame is 2" pipe tubing with 3" channel iron. Either this is a horrible use of old barn wood and will rot quickly or last forever. Either way, I'm tired of storing 100 year old boards and never using them.

Table is rock solid. Like sitting on stone.

That's a good job and a good use of100 year old wood. I think your main concern is going to be expansion. Width wise. Egg shaped holes would allow for that.
