Help Identifying this Browning Light 12 ?
I inherited a Browning Light 12 and below is the serial. Looking at the Browning database, this isn't adding up to me. Am I missing something or does this look less than legit?

That is an FN marketed receiver for an Auto-5 shotgun and not a Browning import. The “66” with smaller font size in front of the serial number is for the year 1966. Only the FN versions used that dating method, whereas Brownings all used the letter and number combinations post-1953 to denote the year such as "6G" which would be a 1966 Light Twelve.

This is what Browning said about it:
I have seen this before. and the second 6 should have been a G to make the gun a 1966 production, Sometimes it makes you wonder about the work and the time of day that the gun was stamped by the person in the factory.
