A day to remember
April 1st. was no joke here on Wolverton Mountain. Me en Ma woke up to 8 inches (of snow!) better ‘splain that! Then the ’lectricity went dead. We found out later the whole town was out. . We sit ‘round ’bout four hours and said “Lets go to the Casino fer sum grub”. They have a generator ya' know. Ha! There was a guy stopping traffic at the parking lot ‘cause it was full! We kept goin’ and headed home. We fired up the generator, put another log in the stove and Ma put a pan of turkey soup on it. Even had sum left over corn bread to go with it. Lectricity came back on at 21:12, but we don't trust ‘em, so we left evry thing in place in case anudder tree goes down. Gonna be a two dog night, catch ya’ on the flip. Fast Eddie

Drifter, Doug Neuenschwander owner of Neuenschwander Logging tagged that nicname on me back in the mid 80's. Sadly he is gone now. They were originally from Medford I believe but moved down here and became one of our regular loggers. Doug's Dad Jerry started the company. They were a great group to work for. I could tell you stories……….Stay safe my friend, Eddie
