I'm a LOSER...
Awhile back I lost an auction on a T.C. Contender barrel with a bid of $298. Yesterday I was high bidder on an identical barrel with a fore end which the other one didn't have for a total delivered price including shipping and tax of $218.59! Dammit! Sometimes bein' a loser is meant to be. Now I gotta buy a set of dies and a hunert .35 Remington cases. Life is gud…..Eddie

Nice Eddie! 35 Rem in a contender ought to be a hand full.

The .35 Rem. is very easy to reload. Good luck.

Hope you end up finding some brass. The entire time I owned my Model 8 Remington, I never could find enough brass to make me comfortable. I, like you, wanted at least 100. Dies? No problem. LGS had probably 3 sets at the time. 200gr bullets were fairly easy to find. The only box of factory ammo I could find at the time was Hornady, and $55-$60/box, and that just wasn't happening. I think I ended up with 40 total once-fired cases. This was 7 or 8 years back, so hopefully it has gotten better.

Drifter, I plan to shoot only cast bullets and load them light. I may try some .357 125's for speed, just having retirement fun!!! You are right about being a handful with high power loads. It is a Super 14 like my 30-30 so it should shoot pretty good with wheel weights! Stay safe my friend, Eddie
BTW, Mr. Gunnut, Midsouth has cases for $41.24 per 50 and Lee dies for $34.99.

Not bad, and I'm glad to hear both are available. I ended up trading off the Model 8, which, of course, I regretted immediately. Ironically, I now have more .25 Remington ammo than I did .35 Remington. What are the odds?
