Gunsmith Tool for 1911 Pistols ??? Colt 45----------

Bought an old ammo box many years ago full of all kinds 1911 pistol internal parts.

All parts were in bags, not parts bags, mostly separated as to similar matching parts..

This tool?, solid metal, was in a bag and we can't figure what it is or how it could be used.?

Has “Colt 45” with an “arrow” scratched lightly on one side.

Is ¾" square, 3 ¼" long, has 5/16"wide slot with set screw in bottom and holes on each side to pin something in it?? Also there is some sort of gapper? shim? piece with it.

Anybody know what this is for??
