I think it’s kind of like the old outfit they use to have in Chicago, once you are in, you are in for life.
I guess I’m kind of like an old dog, it is hard to break old habits. I find my self checking this sight out to see if there are any interesting topics.

I think the powers that be destroyed the forum on purpose. It is hard to believe that computer experts could be this incompetent.

The thing I see that really turns people off a lot it seems is change, specially when that change it seems to be that they are tracking you.
I use cash instead of credit cards unless It’s absolutely not possible. My reasoning is I don’t like leaving a paper trail for people to follow me and learn my profile so they can exploit my interests, it’s just none of their dam business where I shop, travel or what I buy. Every time I comment on a post I get hit with emails and even get hit with emails after that when someone else comments after me. Basically I’m being followed. It is hard to trust a sight that follows you like this.0 -
I don't care how they try to rationalize it, compared to this, there was nothing wrong with the last version of the forums. There were definitely some teething problems before that, but it settled in pretty well. As far as incompetence, that's the word I was going with as well, and if it's not that, consider the header that is still sitting at the top of the page. They've adopted the “deny until they die” attitude of the V.A. I guarantee you the forums have made money. Consider how many people over the years have come here asking questions, looking for something specific, only to be directed to the auction side. They have made more money from our help than we'd ever be given credit for. If money is the 800lb gorilla in the room, then start charging a monthly subscription for access to the forums, and see how long this place lasts in comparison.

Early 2000’s were the golden era for this and other forums. The model is kinda dead now with other social media. It’s been ages since I stopped in.
