Take a look at CVA's Accura line.  That said, I think 400 yards is overly optimistic.

Only thing that comes to mind is a Whitworth sniper rifle. Unfortunately  ,misfires are a sometimes  unavoidable  occurrences in muzzloaders

Thanks for the replies.  It is time to go inline to reduce the hang fires. I was also looking at the CVA Paramount pro V2, but they discontinued the model.  All I could find was a possible breach explosion as to why(?).  I'll look further into the Accura line.

In regard to scoping a muzzleloader:  be aware that some states do not allow that…..

You might like to look into options for different nipples. Where my nipple threads into the drum ther is a clean out screw .I take this crew out, fill the channel with powder and. replace the screw. Never a misfires this way.

I think I will step back on the precision idea due to the cost and look at the Accura.  I was looking at Arrowhead which is a little out of my league and I am not sure I'll require the 200+ distance often.  I prefer having the long distance option.  I do live in Colorado and would put a rail on for a scope option.  And yes, I could add a little powder near the nipple, but it is time to upgrade my 54 cal Renegade.

Whitworth is not as modern as I'd like.

    Thanks for the advice.
