Numrich arms and jack first would be good starting points

Was intro'd in American Rifleman March 1958, and schematic w/disassembly instructions by Triggs in the Feb. 1963 issue.  Parts might be a little scarce…..

BTW, There was an older model 55 which was a lever-action centerfire in the 20's-30's.

    I have a M55 basket case that's 98% complete that I could part with.

Op rod is damaged and op rod spring is missing

I would say post a request in the “want ads” section but…

I’ve been looking for a model 55 for a while my self, hard to find in good shape. However for parts I did see one for sale couple of weeks ago, sold as for parts  only for $150. I’m sure it’s still there.  Is it allowed for me to name the place where it’s at?

bigcitybill I do not know what is missing from mine, That is why I need a schematic. I would be interested in yours if you want to post it on the auctions. Thanks! Don.

I'm still in the process of rounding up everything I have.

    Sorry for slow response.

I think I finally found everything I have.

Stock with trigger guard, buttplate and capture screw.

    Receiver complete EXCEPT op-rod spring.

Barrel in fairly good condition, nice bore but missing front sight.

I'll take some pics and post an auction soon.

The op-rod spring is both the Achilles Heel of this gun, and the Holy Grail of replacement parts.

In case you need it and don't have it, and know someone with a springwinder, here are the specs:

Here are the specs for your model 55 action slide spring:
    wire diameter-.013"
    outside diameter-.100"
    active coils- 65
    total coils-67
    ends- squared
    free length- 2.750"
    max solid height- .904"
    material- music wire
Hope that helps. This is right off the blueprint.
