71-84 Mauser
Just wanna say that 45-70 brass works just fine when reloading this caliber. They are a bit short, kinda like shooting a .22 short in a .22 L.R. chamber but they work fine. Some brand of cases may need the rim filed down a smidge, but that is easy to do.

Eddie, what is the chambering? Is it the Egyptian? If 45-70 is short, maybe one could trim 45-90? It's pretty easy to come by.

It is a .43 Mauser (11.15 x 60r) a bolt action tube fed German military black powder rifle. It shoots really good with cast bullets and unique powder. Thanks for your input, How much snow do you have? Just windy here now. Hwy. 395 to Reno is closed to big trucks and R.V.'s due to wind and blowing snow. Stay safe my friend.

We don't have a lot. 6 inches built up over 3-4 days. It didn't freeze last night so maybe set to melt off.
