    Anyone own one or fired one yet? I haven't even seen one in a store yet, even though they're supposed to be out on the market. And how expensive is that special ammo it takes? About the same as regular 308 Winchester?

    Gander Mountian here had one I thought they where way over priced on it though and the ammo they had at 32.00 a box

    Yeah, I've seen prices ranging from $470-$690 here on Gunbroker auctions. To be honest, this site's auctions aren't usually a good indicator of prices or worth.

    Academy Sports has them in the Blued/Walnut for $499.

    The ammo is running about $25 a box.

    Gander Mountain seems to be way overpriced on a lot of their stuff.

    Buy a .308 winchester, you don't need some odd ball caliber that can't be found except in the big stores. There are many Savage 99's out there and still some Winchester 88's, and they don't need the new expensive cartridge. I remember reading about the Marlin 308 when it first came out and could not figure if they can make a new cartridge on basically the same caliber, why didn't they make it on the time proven 308 Winchester cartridge?

    Just bought a Marlin in 308 ME and cant wait to punch paper. I know there are a million tried and true but I love the new s#it.
