Question to FFL holders...

I got a call this morning from the local compliance officer in charge of doing my license inspection. What should I expect? Any questions I should ask? Is this still pretty much the final step in getting my FFL?

I posted this over in the experts, but with a different heading and kinda thought I posted in the wrong place, so I put it here.

    If you are talking about what I think you are talking about, it's no big deal. They just come out and interview you and inspect where you will be operating your business.

    I'm not so sure this is the best time to be getting a FFL...

    Why is that Eric? I am curious also. I have had my FFL before and I never had a problem.

    The last time, when I met with the compliance officer, it was basically to make sure I knew how to fill out forms and A&D book. He answered all the questions that I had and told me I could expect my license in a couple of weeks. That was in 98. Has it changed a lot since then?

    ...just the current state of affairs. I've had nothing but positive experiences with the ATF...

    Clinton was in office last time I got into this, and I had my reservations, but I enjoyed it. If it hadn't been for a divorce, I would still have it.

    I wonder if I will know tomarrow if I am approved again or not.....

    Good luck! I have had my license since 1976 and they didn't inspect back then. They didn't inspect my place, anyway. Just a short phone interview was all there was to it.

    Thanks for the info! I guess I will know soon enough. She is supposed to be here around 8:30 in the morning.
