I have a burr under my saddle, and hope it does not offend and Muslim good guys in our website family. I lack the technical ability to post a link to the article, but you have all seen it today. Two Americans in California have been charged with WAGING WAR ON THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! What really chaps me is that they are only looking at a max of 20 years each! They should get life.
I grew up in the 50s and 60s. We were the "Kumbaya Generation," and believed the UN was going to save the world. Everybody was going to get along. Everyone: Christian, Muslim, Jew, white, black, green, was basically good. Kumbaya.
As I grew up, I got smarter. Thirty years of war (non-stop since the Tehran Embassy) has taught me we are in doo-doo. And the silence of moderate Muslims around the world tells me the doo-doo is deep. Today, I feel like naming a pig Muhammad and posting it in a full-page ad in the Tehran Times. I have come to believe that Islam is brutally evil.
Somebody please try to talk me back from the edge. Tell me I am wrong.0 -

Muslims killing Christians, Jews Killing Arabs (Muslims) , Muslims killing Jews. Christians Killing Muslims. Man Killing man in the name of some god has gone on since mans superstitions had him killing people to apease his god..
It used to be Christians claiming their god was the only god and killed because everyone refused to believe it. Jews Killing Palistinians over "Holy Land" because their god demands it. It will never cease and as man invents more and better weapons it can only get worse.. There are Fanatics in every culture..0 -

Islamic radicalism is a cancer and it is pretty much worldwide. It will pretty much continue to eat away at us and cost lives because most western nations are now infested with large populations of islamists, a percentage who are radicalized. Since they live among us, the government won't call a spade a spade and therefore the focus is never where it must be to be effective.
The Fed would rather focus on other "radicals" amongst us.
Won't be wrong before some of us who call the Fed "predatory", who say we are verging on tyranny, fascism, etc, who own and use firearms and who speak out loudly and pointedly about our opinions and dissatisfaction as mentioned above, will be labeled as "domestic terrorists".

I am in the middle of reading "The Looming Tower. Al-Qaeda and the road to 9/11", by Lawrence Wright - it is flat out scary, describing the situation, and the bckgrounds of names of Terrorists that are bedeviling us right now. I am more and more convinced that RADICAL Islam is like unto a highly malignant cancer. It must be destroyed, and soon. 0 -

+1 ... and the media LOVES to make huge bucks on exploiting the 'drama' of it all. It USED to be the Cold War, Vietnam, the 'Civil Rights Movement,' Cold War (again) and now this. If you count the number killed (cold, but true) in this latest 'War' - since it 'started' 30+ years ago - and 'off-set' it with the reality of the fact there are 300,000,000+ Americans now - probably 330,000,000+ if you include all the different illegals (all nationalities) and the 'reality adjustment' is quite apparent.
... now, of course, it the 'opposition' takes out a few American cities - then the actual seriousness would have to be increased exponentially.0 -

That's also when I grew up, and I have an entirely different perception.
