I'm having a really bad day...

Idgy ... the finest dog that I have ever had, is 99.99% likely going to have to be put down. Probably tomorrow!
Sorry I just can't type anymore tonite!!!

    Sorry! [V] I lost my 9 year old Springer a few weeks back. She took off after being let out for a "break" and was found under the neighbors porch the next afternoon. The quietness around home is deafining without her. They do become part of the family.

    real sorry to hear that! 7 years ago i lost my 16 year old springer spaniel, he was more than a dog, he was my best friend...i dont think you ever get over it.they become part of your life.

    Tobefree,I know how you feel,On 10-13-06 i lost my lil. buddy oscar after 16 years of companianship.To this day it still pains me when i think about her.Since then i,ve gotten another and while she also is a great companian my new oscar will never replace the feelings i have for my 1st one.Still brings tears to my eyes when i think bout her.Thanks,Paul

    Sorry to hear about that. I like my dogs better than the vast majority of people -- it's going to kill me when the time comes.

    Once again, I will say how sorry I am for you.
    This stuff comes the closest to breaking me up of about anything.
    Folks that are not "pet" people don't understand, but it is very hard to face.[:(]
    You will see each other again one day.

    Not to be sappy, but don't let him face this alone. Hold his paw while he is being put under. Make sure that he knows you are with him through the last second of his life. It is hard, you cry in front of the vet, but your friend will know love with his last breath. I have done it with three dogs, and hated every second, but would not have considered doing it any other way.

    tobefree, Im real sorry to hear about your puppy dog. I know exactly how you are feeling. You say your 99.99% sure, My advice would be make sure 100% positive because about 10 years ago I had vet tell me that my 8 year old labs stomach had fliped and it was too late and that he was suffering badly and tried to assure me that there was nothing anybody could do. Well you stay there and hold your puppy and yea you'll probabally cry your eyes out like I did but dont think for a moment that your doing the wrong thing. I regreted having to make that decision then and I still wonder if there could of been anything more they could have done to save him especially now I see whare they operate on these large breeds that are prone to this happening to prevent it. So please make sure your 100% positive and if it does come down to that. Try not to beat your self up like I did, Know you did the right thing. and now that you got me all wishy washy I got to go love up on my puppy dogs.I feel your pain. Hang in there.
