410-22 O/U Savage
I have a 410-22 over and under Savage shot gun i got as a teenager around 1948-1949 and it is in mint condition along with sales card and price. Would like to know what it is worth and any thing about it such as where it was made. Also have a 22 cal Stevens auto 25 shot rifle in mint condition which has a plastic stock that was made during ww2, around 1945-1947. Thank you. The Wee Nipper

Well your shotgun/rifle combo is one of the Savage Model 24 series. There were several (about a dozen) variations models w/differing MFG dates. Some of which are more valueable than others. So it's impossible to tell you what the value is w/o a model number.
The .22 is likely a Model 85 or 87. Both have pretty much the same value. Part of a model series evolution of rifles that began as the Savage Model 6 in the 1930's and was in continuous production up into the 1960's. It is perhaps the most common vintage .22 autoloader seen. Good shooters w/low collector value. $100. unless in exceptionally good condition.0 -
