Damn weather
Well, our big blow arrived yesterday. Probably 70-80 mph in my yard. It took down a 30" 60' tall hemlock that was about 25' from the house, clean as a pin, no damage to anything. Gotta wait now til daylight to see what ma nature wrought last night. Lotsa tuff rattling around all night long. Supposed to last through tonight.
Winter is officially here, ALL the leaves are gone.

Yep, we got hit here, too. you must be down around Lincoln City or south, Huh? We are protected, living in Gig Harbor WA, but had a couple of heavy gusts around 0300 local. Trees were blowing down, and the power went out a couple of times for a few seconds. Rained like heck for hours!! Still too dark to look out. Glad I'm retarded, and don't have to commute anywhere. I gotta take the wife to her Physical Therapy at 1400 local, so the roads should be cleared. 0 -
Dang "Global Warming". Single digits and snow here in ND. First "normal" year we have had in 10-12 years. 0 -

barto: I'm about 300 or 400 miles north of you. Snow over the weekend that stacked up to about eight to ten inches. Started raining last night. Seattle's getting hammered. The airborne reporter said he'd heard a PIREP of 120 kt. winds aloft. Over two inches of rain since midnight, and more to come.
Monday is my telecommuting day. Only I can't log into my computer down in Seattle. And nobody is answering phones in the office. Maybe they closed the office due to weather? Maybe they sent me an email -- to the address that is currently inaccessible. I have paperwork, but will it last me ten hours?0
