Stupidest thing you ever shot?
For me it was a huge hanging bee's nest with a double bbl 16 ga. I thought, "I don't like bees, I'll kill them." 15 yards away or so.
I'm sure I killed a few but I had to run like hell........ [:I]

A fire ant hill with a 12 gauge.
Nobody was injured in that one, though the ants didn't look very happy.0 -
A guy with a very low IQ. 0 -
When I was 13 I shoved a remington Apach 66 .22 rifle barrel under water to shoot a crab. It worked believe it or not! 0 -
Alligator flopping around in the bottom of an aluminum boat with my 10mm.[:0] 0 -
Prairie Dogs are pretty stupid.
And I've shot a lot of them.0 -
Two porcpines this year. The farmer (that owns the land I hunt on) was happy. The porcupines weren't. They both just stood there and looked at me with the rifle in my hands. That wasn't very smart of them. 0 -

Did you fire a second shot to let the water back out?0 -
My high school buddy dared me to shoot a large hornets nest. Very stupid on my part. He couldnt run as fast as me so he took all the stings.[B)] 0 -

So, which was stupid -- alligator flopping around in the bottom of an aluminum boat, the boat or the water?0 -
I shot a squirrel once 3 times with a cheap pellet gun, and was pumping up for the 4th shot when he finally decided to leave. He watched me shooting him, but still didn't leave.
That was a STOOPID thing that I shot.[:D]0 -

Whrn I was a kid I took my Dad's 30.06 out. The only thing I saw to shoot was a Robin on a limb above me. When the smoke cleared the Robin was still siting there on the limb. I couln't figure this out as the muzzle blast alone would have blown it sky high. All of a sudden it fell to the ground. Looking closely there was a hole right through it. The bullit passed through so fast it didn't even move the bird! 0 -
i preferated the corner of my bedroom wallpaper from the top to the baseboard where it went around the sharp corner and left a cavity... with a bb gun. mom had a hissy fit and beat the crap out of me. rightfully so. i hate wallpapering. 0 -
a hardware store I worked at in the early 70
my boss had a small cache of old powder, he ask me
to get rid of it.
took it down on the beach late at night.
55 lbs of powder, cannon fuze.
there was a roar that traveled all the way around the sound.
there was huge crater, it filled in with the tide.0 -
I was 12, my buddy shot a wet cow pie with a 20 gauge slug at close range...kind of a crappy ordeal, we all got covered, and another friend of ours got a small piece of cow crap in his mouth....he wasn't laughing but we were. 0 -
I was hunting with 3 or 4 of my crazy buddies. After covering a number of fields seeking pheasant and not seeing any we stopped to rest and complain and gripe. All of a sudden one of the guys threw his hat in the air and we all blasted it as fast as we could and unloaded our guns on it. What great satisfaction!
Much to my wife's disgust, I took to eliminating the mice in the kitchen via pellet gun. They always came out in the same place and I was there waiting with sights on, from the dining room. I got a goodly number this way but had to patch up the throughly blood spattered hole in the wall that had grown to a noticable size and flashy red. Great winter fun!
My regular fun is shooting flys off my target paper at 50 yards with my scoped 22's. They usually leave a small speck or two of blood for confirmation.
My grandfather taught me to shoot my 22 short rifle by throwing baby food jars in the air. I learned to hit them every time. My Dad wouldn't let me have a shotgun because I was to young for one. I was hunting with him one time when I shot a rabbit on the run with my 22 short. I was crawling over the fence to retrieve it and my Dad yelled forget it you couldn't have hit that rabbit! I climbed the fence and 3 rows in the corn laid my bunny. My Dad just kinda huffed and I knew he was thinking "lucky shot". We hadn't gone another 50 yards when we jumped a large covey of quail and I knocked down two birds with my semi-auto Remington 22 short rifle. My Dad just looked at me and said "well I guess you are ready for a shotgun now". I just looked back at him and said "Dad I don't think I need one". I got a Remington 870 12 gauge for Christmas from my Dad the following month. True story!0 -
When I was probebly 12, I was out hunting squirrels with two of my friends the same age. We were tired of shooting squirrels so we decided on shooting birds off the power lines.
Some how we managed to shoot the line in half and power was out for a long time till the power company found where the wire was shot.0 -
I was going to say "my brother with a bb gun," but it is pretty much like beating a dead horse at this point... 0 -

When I came back from Germany I brought a lot of WWI and WWII German heavy steel battle helmets home with me.
My brother and I took one of the WWI helmets out in the desert. We found a dead cow and took the skull, set on a post and set the helmet on the cow skull.
We fired at it several times with a .22 rifle. After about the fourth shot, the bullet came right back at me and missed me by only a couple inches.0
