looking for a new hand gun
Im looking for a new handgun and I cant make up my mind on which one to buy. I just sold a ruger 9mm , I didnt like the way it felt . Now Im looking at a 45 cal. . Ive looked at the colts and the springfeilds both feel nice but I dont want to buy something thats not gonna be there when I need it. Between all the manufactures, colt, springfeild ,ruger, taurus. Who makes a good solid handgun?

Only you can answer the question of what is going to fit you the best. I love the CZ-75 and clones as they work well for me. My next handgun might be a FNP, why? Just because it fits my hand great. Go to your local gun shop and try everything he has in stock to find the proper fit for you. The gun that is the best fit for you is the gun that fits you the best. 0 -
I'm assuming you want a self-loader.
I'm going to really muddy the waters here with an insane suggestion.
Bersa.
They're inexpensive and the one I've been shooting on and off for the past three years has had zero failures that couldn't be directly attributed to the idiot who cleaned it and re-assembled it wrong. (Yup. Me.)
It's not my gun. It's belonged to two different friends of mine and both were very happy with the gun. The original owner sold it to fund his addiction to Springfield XD's.
But if I were looking for an inexpensive pistol that I could rely on, I'd get a Bersa in a heartbeat.0 -
What do you mean by this?

If you can find a Colt in your price range, take it. Nothing is built more solid than a Colt.
Otherwise I suggest CZ, Springfield, Kimber, Kahr.0 -
My RIA's have all been as dependable as any other .45 on the market!
I have 7 of them and I swear by them!0 -
