    I used to buy knit gloves for work, I found them at a western wear store and they sold them as singles. I guess calf ropers wear just one.

    When I was issued my chem warfare training gear, it came with two right gloves. Instead of going through the hassle of explaining "I got two right glove and no I didn't loose the two left gloves that go with them," I just turned one inside out. It works.
