Had one when they first came out. They seem to be sensitive to being bumped around the least little bit. Had to get two of them replaced due to them quit working b/c of this.

Gaming wise, not a complaint at all.

I've had one since they've come out. Really like it. It's been idle since we've bought the Wii though.

I'll take a look. I may have some older games for you. We used to have one but it went with the ex (I'm sure to be pawned) but I believe I still have a few games.

Kevin, I would appreciate that. Been pricing a few and reading customer feedback on various versions.

I'll look tomarrow. I have to dig out christmas decorations anyway and I believe they are in the same area in the barn.

Picked up today a new Sony Playstation 2 console. Talked the wife into buying it for our 3yo "son" (3yo Miniature Schnauzer). Bought it to try a few games (racing, primarily). Know "very little" about these gaming consoles. Didn't want to spend the bigger bucks for Playstation 3.

Any of you have a Playstation 2 and how do you like it?
get it and a copy of dirt to Daytona a good way to spend cold rainy days

i like the big old ones, you can put a chip on the board, and burn rental games and it will then read them, cost about 3 bucks a game

It's a good strong system that has been around for awhile now, and will continue to be strong for a few more years. I bought my first PS2 about 6 months ago and I still like it. If you're planing on upgrading soon, I recommend the X-Box 360, it's the best deal in new systems right now.

    You didn't go wrong getting a PS2

I have both the PS2 and original Xbox. The PS2 is good for the athletic and car race games but really lacks on the shooter games and it's graphics are not as crisp. In my opinion the XB is the superior system although game titles are not as diverse. I have not seen a single PS2 game that plays as smooth as Halo. The only game I still continue to play is the original SOCOM Navy Seals.

Now that I have updated to PS3 and XB360 I find that the graphics and game play gap still exists. While the PS3 graphics are superior to the PS2, it still lags behind game play on the XB360.

I have the thin one and have no probs with. My favs are Ghost Recon, MetalGearSolid3: Snake Eater, KillSwitch, All the SOCOM games, and a few others! I haven't bothered spending the BREAD on any other system mainly cause HALO wasn't all cracked up to be what everyone says. Played HALO a few times even on top of the line TVs and would rather play the older stuff.
