If the test were really accurate, you would have only been paid five minutes pay to take the test, even though it would take ten minutes to complete. And if you didn't pass, you'd have to take it again for free.

With the money you've spent on your son's degree in electrical engineering you should be able to get a little tutoring for free whenever you ask [:D]
I scored 95% and many of these same types of questions appear on the first portion of the NCEES Professional Engineers examination where general engineering questions (such as electrical and mechanical) are asked and I really HATE these types of visual pully and gearing directional questions! cce1302; a lot of basic engineering is just good common sense along with the ability to picture all sorts of mechanical action in your minds-eye so perhaps you missed your true calling.0 -

Really liked it. I thought air entered the engine cylinder due to the vaccuum created by the piston as it travels downward on the intake stroke. I missed that one. 0 -
i missed 15 out of 50 , not bad for some one that is not a mechanic ,after i answered the 50th question , it wouldn't go any father so i didn't get a % answer 0 -

You'd think he would be willing to help out a bit, wouldn't you?[:D] He actually does help me quite a bit with that kind of thing, especially when he's home. I usually save jobs of that type for when he gets here and we concentrate on getting those done before he leaves.
With much hard work, and quite a bit of study, I'm up to where I can successfully turn on a light switch over half of the time. Sometimes even with my left hand.
I'm nearly completely a logic based person, so gear and pully kinds of questions tend to be like breathing.
I had to take the Myers-Briggs personality test one time, and the people who were administering the test said that I was the first person they had ever tested who scored zero right brain points.0 -

The "vaccuum" Of the piston going down creates a low pressure area and atmospheric pressure pushes the air in.0 -

Figuring out the percentage points was your end of the test bonus question! 15 out of 50 would mean a score of 70% and I would say that is very respectable.0 -

Well, my dad and brother were mechanics, but not me. Surprised me, I got a score of 80%. Guess I could be a mechanic if I wanted to. 0 -
70%...darn. Well, I havent turned a wrench on an engine in probably a year and a half, so Im happy...I know I aced that part when I took the ASVAB, lol... 0 -
