gun that shoots air

My mother-in-law is looking for a non leathel weapon to stop intruders. She said that there was a program that talked about a hand held gun that shoots blast of air to stop threat. I am not aware of this gun, does anyone have info on this. Thanks Vince

    Anything non-lethal wouldn't stop anyone. Less lethal weapons might stop someone. Get her a taser if she won't use a gun.

    Well she could always get a paintball gun. Nothing like having .68 cal. balls wizzing by your head at 300 feet per second, at a fire rate of about 1200 balls per minute. The impacts hurt too. Seems to work really good as a humane way to stop dog fights and deter stray critters from coming into the yard too.

    She probably meant an air-soft gun. The actual gas-powered versions can do some minor damage, but will simply piss off most dirtbags looking to do a home invasion or assault on the street. Most of them carry at least a knife and would be looking to settle the score. At the very least, she should have pepper spray.

    On the other hand, she is your mother in law............

    Tell her to get with the program! My grandmother keeps an ol' WWII M3A1 greasegun cocked and locked by the bed. I don't even feel comfortable going over there even after I call and let her know[:p]
