Getting even??
I bought a set of grips at a gun-show, from the largest grip dealer in the southeast, so they say, and when I got them to my shop on Monday to install one side was for a colt python and the other was for a trooper. The back strap would not align. I emailed the seller and he said send them back and he would replace. After sending them he said I examined them closely and they are not the same and these are not my Grips. Does anyone know of a good way to get even with this seller. I had a total mind dump with his response. I want to post his business name to prevent this from happening to someone else, but I guess I will accept the loss and just cry in my beer later. [:(!]

Always be careful what you wish for and have that beer handy..
Just word of mouth the guy and it will have a same effect but it may take a while..
We all have had that luck from someone some time..
Don't buy at a gun show unless your 1000 % positive what you buy is "it" or can be returned to the seller...

Sometimes things happen that we can not control, if the seller was going to be at another show you could attend, maybe the both of you could figure it out.
Getting even is not always the best way, although it sure seems that way now and then...0 -
I seem to recall an auction site that has a lot of sellers with handgun grips for sale. You can see whether the seller has good feedback; most have a return policy posted. The name of the site escapes me at the present; maybe someone can help us out. 0 -
Find out the next show he is at. Also, make very sure in your own mind that he was puprposely trying to screw you before you do this, by the by. Wait until there is the largest group of people around his table possible and then force your way into contact and ask him if he would like to resolve the issue here and now? Also, if he felt like continuing to call you out to be a liar around these people (saying those were not the grips he sold you), then you get to fight back! There isn't much he can do to remove you from the show, so just stand there and recite your problem with him to anyone that blunders into earshot. This will get old for him and at least he will have to look a little silly coming around the table to try to stop you. At the very least it will require him to close his table while he deals with you and the organizers of the event about the issue. It's a free country, and as long as you have paid your money, they have no business asking you to leave without a refund. Work this correctly, and you get to attend the show for a few hours, then do your thing with the seller in question, and eventually get thrown out with a refund...after you have at least let others know he is to be dealt with under strict prejudice and care.
Keep in mind I said you had better be REAL sure of the situation about the purchased grips, as if I was the seller, and was equally adamant I had done no wrong, I would likely wind up over the counter on you...rightous indignation is a weird emotion. The real bitch of it is you can BOTH be equally correct as this issue is dealing with subjective concerns, and emotions being what they are, and people being WHAT they are, ONE OF YOU HAS TO BE WRONG...there is no gray area once starting down the path I suggest. Good luck. I've been there and managed to get satisfaction every time thus far. I do not assume my perfect record will continue, but what angers me the most is that I HAVE to ever do this kind of stuff. It all plays into my theory that people are simply hairless monkeys; though some of us have managed to throw off the yoke of stupidity, there are plenty of silly monkeys out there trying to cut corners and get it up on the rest of us who merely want to be treated fairly. To Err is Human, to forgive Divine...that I believe was written by some Biblical scumbag who wanted to insure his future as a user of people. I'll forgive error..we all screw up. I will not tolerate users...at extreme peril to them. Mind's me of the minority of supposed "Christians" (actually, insert the religion of your choice here) I have encountered over the years that use the Church as an excuse to screw people over and then contritely ask forgiveness. Perhaps God is OK with you...I'm NOT. Attempt larceny with me at your own peril.

Thanks to all, I emailed him again and told him to be sure and send grips back and I would take it up with him at the next show. He said he would try to make it right, we will see.
