Garden Question.
Garden question.
How many of you here are planning to grow corn this year?
I'm thinking about it and was just curious as is there really a 'best' tasting corn?
Does corn need male and female plants or is it present on a single stalk?
Lets just hope the corn does not cross with my fatalii peppers. [;)]

Garden question.
I'm growing garlic this year when today I saw that what apperaed to be the garlic head that appeared to be growing above ground. I know there are some types like this; however a good part of my garlic all came from the same head(s). None of the other stocks are like this yet.
There was a wind storm [of sorts] that came by about a week ago and boke most of the stocks at the ground level. That did not seem to kill the plants as they seem to be doing fine.
My question is this just a fluke; or did I actually plant cloves of garlic that are of a different species than listed [so far only this plant is like this]? Pics are below for the said question:

I'm looking for a place online where I can buy pepper plants that do not have a 12 plant order requirement. Is there any place out there like that?0 -

Is there a such thing as "rejection" when trying to graft different cactus species to each other?0 -

I'm thinking about growing some peanuts [virginia] and was wondering how long do I have to wait for harvesting?
How big is the root system?0 -

Why not. Don0 -
You can get rejections when grafting any type of plants.
Be it Apples, Pears, Flowers or Berry bushes. Some will and then some will not take to grafting to well.
You may graft 100 plants and only end up with 2 that take while the other 98 reject to being grafted.0 -
Yes. Go to www.thegardenforums.org and go to the cactus forum. They'll help you out.

Rejection???
Hey, we live in political correctness. Where'd you been???
You don't say rejection.
You say, "Cactus failed to make accomodations to host plant".0 -
Sould this not be in the "ask the cactus garden expert" forum?![:o)][:D][:p][;)][;)] 0 -
