    Not snowing down here, but it looks like it might at 8000 and above. I was hoping I wouldn't need new tires for the next few weeks... Damn Algore, I trusted him with that Global Warming (tm) stuff, and now I'll be stuck with summer tires in snow...

    The old timers tell me it used to snow a lot more 20 and 30 years ago around here, than it does now.
    In 1958 the French Broad River froze solid, and you could walk across it. Hasn't happened since.
    Back in the 19th century, they would saw blocks of ice out of the river, and save them all summer in caves packed with sawdust. No way today.
