I'll bet the only reason for the tough questions and some booing was the turmoil created when he was invited. If there was no great outcry about this invite, his reception at that bastion of liberalism would have much different.

The fact that the university invites America's enemies to speak and shouts down Republicans, Conservatives or anyone who is not PC enough for them is the real problem. I suspect the insulting introduction the CU pres gave him was a reaction to the storm of criticsm and not his true feelings.

Whatever the reason, it was still good to see. The answers the nut-job gave were so bad they were hilarious. No homosexuals in Iran? Yep. Sure. Just keep telling yourself that! [;)]

I'd have been more appreciative if they didn't invite him at all.

Or if they insisted on inviting him, have a Holocaust survivor present to debate him.

Without a doubt. And, it is sure to get the attention of the most well heeled, far left, college bound loonies in America to visit their campus.

Yea and he also got applause from the students in the audience when he stated that he shouldn't have been asked any tuff questions. He claimed the questions insulted him, and the crowd cheered him.[:(!]

I known one thing is certain. Iran must be a great place to live seeing how their isn't any AIDS there.[}:)]

Ya gotta admit the laughter concerning his statement that there were no homosexuals in his country was truly spontaneous.

He did have a few grains of wisdom in the litterbox (aka mostly was full of $h1t)

The holocaust shouldn't be regarded as fact, is debatable- BS there were holocaust survivors outside protesting

No gays in Iran - Cause you stone them to death when you find them?

No Aids in Iran - Cause you stone "loose" women to death when you find them?

Even if the Holocaust happened, Palestinians shouldn't have to pay for it - The most reasonable thing I heard from him. Palestinians did have land taken by force from them after WW2 to make room for the jews.
Seems like it would be more fair if Germany had to cede a sizeable chunk of land for the creation of Israel.
The Palestinians weren't behind the holocaust, why are they suffering because of Israel's creation?

I also think it took alot of balls to come to America and Speak as he did. It hasn't hurt my impression of him, it helped- but only just a little. At this time I don't believe war with Iran is inevitable.

There is just no pleasing some people. [;)]

While motives may be questioned until the cows come home, actions cannot. He got an unfriendly reception. Would you have preferred it any other way?

this was not a freedom of speech issue as many liberals claimed it was. we, america, didnt need the leader to be HERE in america for an exchange of ideas. we already knew what he believes because our media doesnt censor anything. we didnt need him to actually BE in america.
also, how is it that the liberal columbia president can call the iranian leader a "cruel dictator" and the liberals agree yet when Bush called him the same thing he was accused of "stroking the flames of war" and "alienating" other world leaders.
i also find it ironic that the iranian leader has been talking about wiping isreal off the map, building nukes to kill infidels, killing american troops and NOTHING is said from liberals. HOWEVER, today the leader says "there are no gays in iran" and now the liberals are saying this guy is a dangerous idiot. hmmm.....makes you wonder
