beige envelope with new gun??

i recieved a beige envelope with my new gun. it has the make, model, type, caliber, serial#, FFL#. whose FFL# is supposed to be on there? the transfer dealer or the selling dealer?

  Does the envolope have a fired casing in it? If it does the FFL # on the envolope is that of the manufacturer of the gun

  ohhhh,
  it is the FFL# of Smith and Wesson.
  
  that clears up my confusion. i bought two guns. one from the local dealer and another online through the same dealer. both had the same FFL#.

  i got a S&W 640. i also bought a 642 and sp101. i will sell when i decide which is best.
