Laptop screen question

I have a laptop with the soft screen. Over the years, it's gathered various smudges and marks. Is there any way to clean the screen?

    They make wet wipe stuff that's supposed to be safe on the screen. I've got some at work. It comes in a container like those clorox wipes. I think you can get it at Office Depot, Staples, ect.

    You do not want to use any sort of household window cleaner on the screen. They do make a cleaner for laptop screens, but I usually tell my clients that they should use a micro-fibre cloth. if the smudges do not come off, dampen, not soak the cloth with warm water. wipe it clean and dry it off.

    What ever you use, make sure you turn it OFF before you clean it.

    a damp microfiber cloth will work... DO NOT!! USE WINDEX do NOT use any kind of solvents! Last time I was in compusa I picked up some some wipes specifically for that, check them out.

    Warm water with mild detergent on a soft cloth will do the trick.Don't waste your cash on "pre-made" wipes ...[;)]

    Thanks all, I tried what the article said that thesneakyrussian posted and it worked great! I just put some cool, filtered water on a lens cloth and wiped it down and dried it off about 4 times, the screen looks good as new! [8D]

    I just need to stop chewing & spitting sunflower seeds around the thing. 95% of the marks were little saliva grenades from that and then fingerprints trying to get them off. [:D]
