Question for M1 Garand experts
Hey guys,
I am starting to get into the market for an WW2 M1 Garand. I have noticed that there are a couple different makers and wanted to know what ones are the good/better/best. I would like to find one that has been restored and know that it might be a little pricey. Also I have seen people display pictures of a bullet being stuck in the barrel to show barrel wear, what is acceptable/unacceptable?

Put this in 'ask the experts' forum. They'll help ya out.

The bullet should have atleast 1/8" showing between the barrel and brass, although some people don't think that's a good measure of muzzle wear. I'll let you be the judge of that. As far as what maker you want, that is personal prefernce. I'm partial to the SA myself. If you want a really pricy, but nice one check out www.scott-duff.com/ 0 -
