What's my browning bar worth?
I have a Browning bar 270(mfd 1989), walnut stock, tasco 4-16x40 scope, scope mount, sling studs, and I am wanting to sell it so I can buy a left handed 270. The gun has a small rub in the blueing on the left side of the action(the size of a dime). The scope is scratched(the paint NOT the lens). The wood work is in excellent condition. How much should I expect to get for this gun, and how long should I expect to wait untill it sells(generally speaking- I know no one knows for sure). This is my first time using gunbroker.com and I have this gun posted. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Look for similar completed auctions, and it'll give you a better idea. I recently purchased a BAR that was slightly newer than that, in .243. It had the BOSS system, Leupold mounts, and a Burris scope. I paid $650 including tax. 0 -
Yes it's item number 80717208 0 -
On this site, you can start it at a penny and bring in more attention and more money.
You'll definitely get what it's worth in that case.0 -
I know that you could start a .01 and definetly sell this gun, but I can't afford to take the chance. I have a lot in this gun and want to get enough so that I can buy a left handed 270.
Thanks

Does it have the original box? If not would you take off $100?
I'm kidding, Mike.
I'm negotiating for one like it in '30-06. If that doesn't pan out I will make a bid on yours.
Hope you do well with it. Seems like a fair starting price. Hunting season coming up. You may be pleasantly surprised.0 -
Thanks for the info. Would love if you bid on my gun(not wishing any bad luck on the 06 though).
