2 people dead, 30 animals dead
just saw on the news, a couple towns above me, (im near tampa), they found a man and woman dead, something like 23 goats dead, 6 dogs dead, and one miniature horse dead. They have no idea what killed them. WTH?

Yea blackroses, im not quite sure, i glanced at the screen when i heard it and missed the map. I was talkin with Jake and he said it might be lightning, and it was thundering and lightning really bad about 12:30pm here.0 -

Man, Woman, Dozens Of Animals Killed On Florida Farm

CHIEFLAND, Fla. -- A violent attacker or attackers killed a man, woman and dozens of farm animals in Levy County. Authorities say the bodies could have been lying around between one to three days before they were discovered.
A Levy County Sheriff's Office spokesman says deputies were called to the scene in Chiefland, Fla. by concerned out-of-state family members. Lt. Evan Sullivan when they arrived, Tuesday, they found the man and woman dead and dozens of animals slaughtered.
Sullivan emphasized the deaths were violent deaths, meaning they were not related to any disease or organism. "Someone killed them," he said.
At least 30 goats, seven dogs, a donkey and a mini-horse are among the dead animals. All the animals were found in a shed.
"But that number will rise," Sullivan said. Investigators believe there were at least 80 goats on the farm "and only a handful survived," according to Sullivan.
Deputies had been called to the property several times in the past for reports of shots being fired. On September 7th, deputies say a neighbor called to report the deceased woman had shoved her. However, a sheriff's office spokesman says no one has been named as a suspect in the slayings.
Autopsies are scheduled on the human victims at Wednesday morning. Authorities have not released their identities or their relationship to one another.

Police: Levy Co. Farm Deaths Apparent Murder-Suicide

The Sheriff's Office identified the bodies of John Holter, 82, and his wife Laverne, 73, who died on a Levy County farm along with dozens of animals.

Deputies were called to the five-acre farm by out-of-state relatives on Tuesday afternoon to check on the well-being of the couple and made the discovery, Levy County Sheriff's Office Lt. Evan Sullivan said.
An autopsy was performed on Laverne Holter on Wednesday morning. Sullivan said the cause of death was a self-inflicted handgun wound.
Investigators said John Holter died from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
More than 40 animals were also killed, including dozens of goats, seven dogs, a donkey and a miniature horse or pony.
"A stack of goats were found dead in two separate sheds," Sullivan said. "I have never, ever seen this many animals dead in one crime scene."
Laverne Holter was known to have loved the animals, but her husband didn't care for them, Sullivan said.
Neighbor Louise Wilkerson said it was no secret Holter's marriage was far from perfect. Investigators said the couple was known to have had a rocky marriage, and there have been several domestic violence calls to the farm.
"She thought more of the dogs than she did of him," Wilkerson said.
Wilkerson also said she found Laverne Holter was unpredictable.
"I felt she was unstable; ever since I'd known her," Wilerson said.
Some living animals were found on the property, including several horses, goats and chickens. Authorities said the animals will remain on the property in the care of Levy County.
The Holters had been married 57 years.0 -

The WOMAN was the shooter.
She died of a "self inflicted" gsw.
The man was shot in the back of the head.
She had lots and lots of ammo.0
