Judge Tells O.J. Simpson to Surrender Rolex, Other Assets to Fred Goldman

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - O.J. Simpson must hand over his Rolex watch and other assets to satisfy part of a long-standing judgment that found him liable for the deaths of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ron Goldman.
Superior Court Judge Gerald Rosenberg also ruled Tuesday that any future royalties from a sports video game featuring Simpson must be delivered to Goldman's father, Fred Goldman.
He must also surrender any of the disputed memorabilia items recently seized by Las Vegas authorities that are found to be legally his.
Goldman wasn't in court and there was no immediate comment from his representatives.
I hope the bazturd ends up in prison or living in a cardboard box under a bridge somewhere.

Don't like OJ. Pretty certain he "did it". However, wasn't he acquitted? Goldman should change his name to Golddigger. I don't believe what he is doing has anything to do with justice so much as greed. if he wanted justice, he would have let the whole thing die down, and let everyone forget about the whole thing. Then one day OJ would be found face down in a canal somewhere in south Florida. But then, that's just me. 0 -
i kinda agree. what goldman is doing is revenge. i dont agree with everything in the bible but i do believe one must move on and forgive in their own heart. forgiveness is a gift you give yourself, it makes your own life better. to see ron goldman drag his daughter into his prverted world of grief, greed, fame, and everything else makes me think hes not a great father. his daughter was 18 years old when the killing happened and he has dragged her down this path for 12 years now. geez, what a way to spend the best years of your life.
if this murder had happened in my family i would tell my kids to accept the outcome and move on with their life, God has reasons and plans and i wouldnt spend ONE SECOND of my life dedicated to a murderer. i also wouldnt spend 12 years of my life dedicated to one either. i wouldnt go on every talk show, write books, hire hundreds of lawyers, go to thousands of court dates. i would move on and live my life.
it seems to me that OJ is controlling the lives of ron goldman and his daughter like puppets.0 -

Call it revenge or whatever, but if someone killed my kid and got off due to poor prosecution and a dumbazz jury, I'd hound that SOB for the rest of his life! I have no doubt that OJ killed them. He's seen on TV playing golf and signing sports memorabilia. What happened to looking for the real killer, OJ? I say the Goldman's should stick it to OJ any chance they get.0 -

a man should not be found not-guilty and then have to live the rest of his life being punished for a crime the state has determined he did not commit. if you believe in the state you should respect the systems decision and let the guy live his life out normaly.0 -
ok lets go with he was acquitted because he was, but in the Goldman case he was not and that is what counts, if you guys really believe in the justice system you would stand behind the Goldman's, because it was another court of law that found him liable

You guys are all forgetting something. Yes, he was found not guilty in the criminal trial. But he WAS found guilty in the civil trial. And by court order, OJ owes Goldman millions of dollars. He is liable for that money. If OJ has it, Goldman has a legal right to claim it.0 -
As soon as he (OJ) realised he was up against civil action, he disappeared for awhile. During his absence, I'll bet he squirreled his money away in the Bahamas, or the Caymans. It's certainly not in "Downtown Savings And Loan". Joe 0 -

Just because the state failed to prove he committed the crime does NOT mean he didn't do it. "Not guilty" is not the same as "innocent". Many guilty criminals walk away on technicalities or poor prosecution. The civil trial established that the criminal verdict was wrong. OJ did it - period.0 -

Not Guilty does not mean "innocent".
It means that the prosecution did not meet it's burden of proof.
It does not mean the person did not commit the crime.
That is based on the premise that it is better to let 10 guilty people go than to send one innocent person to prison for something that he did not do.
Double jeopardy keeps them from being able to try him again. That is so that the prosecution waits to charge until they are sure they have enough evidence to prove the case. That is done so that honest people aren't charged and re-charged until the prosecution is able to finally prove their case. The prosecution gets one shot at the guy unless there is a mistrial/hung jury. Then they could try the case again if they want but they do not have to.
OJ was found to be "responsible" for Ron Goldman's and Nicole Simpson's death in a civil trial, so he "owes' Fred Goldman the money and Fred is able to pursue the collection of his debt. OJ has a right to have the basics like food, clothing and shelter but anything he acquires over that should be turned over to Goldman until his debt is
settled. He is not entitled to own "unusual extravagances" (my words) like Rolex watches, expensive boats etc, until he has paid his debt.
For Goldman's own sanity, it would be good to try and forgive and move on, but he has the right to continue hounding OJ anytime he sees him with things of value. It is all up to him. I know how hard it can be to forgive someone who has wronged you. I fight with these issues at times myself. I know I should forgive but it is not easy to do. But that is another story.0 -
