    It isn't all that simple for me. My favorite choice is the 1911 or variations, but my mode of dress isn't rigid enough to allow that all the time. Sometimes I carry a tiny little Smith .38..

    I would definatly have to say colt 1911 combat commander, its got looks and it packs a punch, if you cant kill the bad guy with the first six rounds save the seventh for yourself. I have two, ones stainless with walnut grips, the others blued with pachmyer presentation grips.

    Any stipulation on purpose. Self defense, hunting, pack gun, just to have, neatability???


    Without stipulation and putting a "this is the only one I can own" theory to it, I would go for the S&W or Colt revolver.
