magazine capacity modifying

okay i was reading that some states ban the number of bullets a handgun magazine can hold to 10. some states allow 12. can you modify a magazine that holds 10 to hold 12 or is it he way they are made and they cant be changed ?

    It depends on the construction of the reduced cap mag. If the mag capacity was reduced by dimpling near the base to reduce follower travel, it can be undimpled and a proper mag spring installed.

    Yes, there are several company's that offer extended baseplates, I personally do not want to get depressed looking them up as I live in CA, only 10 rounds allowed here.[:(]

    I have one handgun that came stock with three 20 rnd mags, and have modified them all with factory part to be 30 rnd pistol mags.
    5.7 herstal.

    things shoots toataly fine and are compleatly legal here.[8D]
