ruger scope mounts

so i took the mini 14 out to the "shootin' hole"
to play around with my scope. and it was shooting pretty damn well then all of a sudden it got wierd. so i was looking it over and realized that the bolt that holds the scope ring to the receiver fell out. after only about 75 rounds.
i had tightened it on there prety good. so my question is

how do you keep this from happening?

    Blue Loctite works well.

    must not have been tight enough i have 3 ruger rifles with ruger rings and have never had any of them fall out. lictite it if it happens again

    I must agree you must not have had them tight enough, I have several Ruger Rifles and no problems not even with the Magnum calibers. I always check my screws to make sure there tight, and I've never bought one that didnt have loose screws.

    thaks, i could of gotten them tighter but i wanst sure how much preassure you can put on the threads, once i get a new ring ill crank the sucker down.
