Anyone Know What This is??? Carbine something??
I was doing some cleaning here and came across a gun case which I thought was empty but it wasn't. I guess its a good thing I looked in the case because I've never seen this before and I don't have a clue what this is. Sorry the pics aren't better. I tried to brighten them so you can see them better. This was hard to take pics of. Anyone know?? The numbers on the stock appear to be: E19554.. or at least I think that first mark is an E. The bayonet does work but I had a hard enough time taking the pics without extending that.

TY Brier. Is this really old or is it just beat up looking. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this with sling holders on the side. 0 -

You can learn a lot from web searches after you know what it is that you have.0 -
I did find this site.. but yours is definitely better!!

And TY!!
After seeing the pic of the nice one posted on the site you posted, mine really looks like it went through a war geesh.0 -
Karen,on the left side of the receiver it shoud say, she under that mine says 007, crossed cannons? then 55 55 is the year made if my info was correct.Yours looks about like mine, I don't have a name carved in mine. Mine is a pretty good shooter, some ammo was availible on here, all corrosive.Last year for guns or ammo was 1957/58. I bought mine last year for $200.00,from a local dealer. 0 -
On the left side right beneath the pop site, mine says:
AYM
then under that: 029 Then there's one shooting canon and then the number 56 and under that a circle with something in it I can't read and right after that circle is E19554
Its a shame mine isn't in better condition because it probably would have been a nice piece for someone to add to their collection0 -
There are 2 of these on the auction side, asking price up towards $500. If my sources are right yours is 1956 mfg. 0 -
TY Brier for the info. I only found one on the auction side and the description sounded like it was a very nice piece in compared to this one. The one I have is pretty beat up so I'm sure the value of mine is way low. 0
