thousand motorcycles
i was totally amazed today while at work today, i got to see the motorcaid that came from shanksville pa to washington dc. they came down old route 40 into cumberland md and headed east on route 68 east. there was a police escort on bikes of about 10 in uniform leading the way with sirens blairing and lights flashing. hundreds passed while traffic was stopped. then area leo let traffic go while there was a break in the motorcade then more and more and more and more bikes. it was spectacular the bikes kept comming for about 30-40 minutes

BUT THE SITE OF ALL THOSE BIKES WAS AWSOME!!!!!!!!! 0 -
Sounds like it would have been neat to see.[8D] 0 -
I was a rider in a 1000+ motorcade last month for the Virginia Tech Victims Memorial Fund. We raised over $15,000. Bikers do a lot for charity. We had a "Toys for Tots" run last November with about 600 bikes that raised over $10,000 for local kids. 0 -

Were there any yellow flags flying with a blue triangle in the middle? If so they were Patriot Guard Riders. if no flags, then I am out of ideas. www.patriotguard.org 0 -
