GB keeps serial # question, and clarification?

Im new to GB, and after reading that post I have some questions maybe someone can answer.
I have not sold or purchased anything from GB.
BUT if I did

Doesn't what i buy or sell on GB have to go through a dealer:???
and wouldnt my local gun dealer have all the info on that firearm befor me?? and then transfer it to me???
and if someone on GB needed that number, wouldn't they go to GB first and then to the dealer the firearm was shipped to next???
and not call me direct!!! Even though you have it wouldnt you be the last person to call?????? and why do they even have your number????

    Havent boght or sold.
    but if i did or do, Id be fing pissed if someone but my dealer called me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yes, the dealer should have called the transfer dealer, I think that post was BS as the selling dealer would have to log the firearm in and out of his log book, not many dealers have errors in the log book, you MIGHT on the forms, but not often in your log, and every firearm I have received from another dealer also had the SN on the invoice/bill of sale/packing list.

    I guess keep the sales in the sales forum and keep the chit in the chat forum .:)
    I think Ill stay in both. :)
