Cockpit survived (as did driver) because it is a carbon fiber tub.
Personally, I see no point in owning a car like that. For the money, I could have a 60s vintage Porsche (356 SC cab!) which is "slow", as well as all the other cool Euro cars of the 60s - Jags, MG, etc.
More fun to drive a slow car (top speed 105mph) fast than a fast car slow...0 -

wrong story, guy was actually going to jail in a few days or being inditited on charges of stealing money from a gaming (video game) company or something to do with a gaming company.

The car is an Enzo ferarri, there was a passenger and a driver, the driver went to jail, The driver was involved in the gaming industry, and the passenger was involved with the mob somehow, he fled the accident scene. Thats what i read in my game informer. 0 -
There was no driver at the scene when the police arrived at the crash in Malibu but winesses did see a white male leave the scene of the wreck. Later it was discoverd that the car belonged to a Swedish businessman named Erikson who claimed to have let his German friend Dietrich drive it while they were racing a Mercedes SLR along Pacific Coast Highway (Lets here a cheer for the Mercedes [^]). As the story unfolded it seems that the Enzo belonged to Mr Erikson but was in the process of being reposesed by the Bank Of Scotland so he simply shipped it to the USA in order to buy himself a little time. The car still had British plates and was not registered in the USA and in fact should not have even been out on a public road...But then who really pays much attention to the license plates when you see a $1 million car roll by (even the cops). The CHP estimated the speed of the crash at about 162 MPH and Mr Erikson walked away with little more than a split lip. Notice how the REAL story is much more interesting than the made up version we were treated to? 0 -
