Wake me when they fall to an all-time low or, better yet, STOP ALTOGETHER.

Wonder how the Libs are going to spin that?
Good news from the war front is the worst possible news for them.

And of course you will never hear of this from the liberal main news sources.

We've gotta die somehow. Numbers not much publicized show that this year, the Navy and Marine Corps lost more to motorcycle and motor vehicle deaths (here in the US) than we lost in the war. The lowest casualty rate in the 80s and 90s was during Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield.

Yeah, but they'll need to do better than that to eplain their defeatism and "borderline" treason if it becomes apparent that the war is winable.

the war was ALWAYS winable and its apparent we are winning in iraq and the iraqi people are winning and freedom is winning. the people are who losing are terrorists, al-qaeda, liberals, democrats, communists, cynics and some people on this board who think since they served in the military 50 years ago that they are the only ones who can support a war now. oh well. better luck next time :)

So, the lowest one month's casualties in a year, and you think the war is won?
One month does not a trend make. Even if it did, 66 per month would be 792 over a year. How many more years, at that rate, will we need to fight this war that we have "won" in order for the war to be over?

Your great month of 66 casualties is more than DOUBLE the casualties of Sept 03, when 31 troops died, which was about the time that the Commander in Chief was making his speech on the carrier, saying "major combat operations in Iraq are over."
Just at the start of the war, Rumsfeld said he doubted the war would last six months.
Two years ago, Vice President Cheney said that "The insurgency is in its last throes."

Our leaders clearly don't have a clue as to what is going on in Iraq.
I am surprised that so many on this forum are still willing to follow this inept leadership.
The war is lost, and has been for quite a while.

Alan - more kids drown in buckets each year than we are losing in the war!!!!

Hear anything about buckets? See any demonstrations???

Those who are making such a racket about the losses (regrettable though they are) in the war are doing so ONLY BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BRING DOWN THIS NATION.

It is a fact that more servicemen/women die here in the U.S. on active duty than those in Iraq and Afghanistan....It is safer to be over there than it is to be here!!!

okay, when did you first declare the war was lost ? are you the type of guy whose sports team is losing in the first quarter so he turns the game off and declares his team has lost ?
america lost every single battle of WWII in the pacific for 6 months and lost almost 8,000 men there before we even won a single battle.
america is winning in iraq and iraq is becoming a better and safer place every day.
for those of you who say america has lost in iraq i say "you're wrong"
