    I was recently looking at a bunch of AK junk I've accumulated & there's a device that screws on the end of the barrel for firing grenades using blanks.
    The rifle is 7.62X39 & the hole in this device is around 25 cal
    Gotta wonder how many unlucky souls forgot to remove that device before firing off a REAL round.

    10-24X x 56mm. Just the thing for those 450 yard white-tail shots.

    That happened a year or so ago if I recall correctly, at least that's when the pics were circulated here from another forum. I'm pretty sure the guy on the stretcher is not the shooter. I want to say the fellow that shot it with the bore sighter left in wasn't harmed. His underwear probably was though.[;)]

    another reason to bore site at 50yds first and leave those funky lil toys alone. I can usually be on paper the first round that way,...and nothing to remember to remove from the bore.

    My dad boresighted rifles with the bolt out, eyeballing the bulls-eye through the bore, then adjusting the scope. He'd get them dead-on within a few rounds, at 50 yards, then move out to 100 and go to work. I follow the same practice.

    Seems like every "convenience" gadget carries with it its own price, if nothing else in terms of being one more thing to go wrong. I like to keep my shooting simple. It's cheaper and, IMHO, safer.

    But, then, with my opinion and a dollar.... [:D]
