My Nephew and I killed 2 coyotes
I took my oldest nephew (10yrs old) with me this evening to a pretty sure place to kill coyote or another predator. We had called for about an hour and one started working us hard, she circled us twice before coming out to a place I could see her and get a good shot. My nephew who I love as my own or should I love all 3 of them as my own. Anyway he got a little nervous on me but done well after we killed the first one, she was very weary. I shot her with a 22-250 at 137 yards about 60 yrds from my decoy. The second was this yrs male, I imagine he hoped to scrounge some food off of the first one and weighed a little over half her weight. If you can use the same comparisions to them that you do a dog, she was about 7yrs old and had had several litter of pups in her time. Nephew is wanting to go back tonight but its a school night. I know we sure had a good time. Austin would live with us if my sister would let him. Seems Im never off on the weekends anymore to take him hunting at night. Im not sure if this makes since or not, but Im proud to be proud of him!

thats freakin awsome. and its great to have pride in your nephew because your the one showing how to hunt/shoot/ect and now he can go to school and tell all of his buddies how his uncle took him out to hunt yotes. he will be the coolest kid to walk the halls that day. the girls might not think it to cool but its all good at that age[:D][:D] i cant wait for my future neice/nephew, to be born March 1st, to grow up so i can show them how to do the same 0 -

No we didnt eat them but I did skin one with what looks like a 4 inch hole in the hide. He wanted to hang the hide on one of their storage buildings. I dont think my brother in law was to crazy about it? He kept saying "Now this thing aint gonna rot and start stinking is it"? I told him of course not, its only around 70 degrees or so and thats just during the day.[:I][:o)] I give it two days.LOL[:D] 0 -
Just salt down the flesh side of that hide and it will be preserved. 0 -

My nephew is only 3 but I have already bought him 3 guns. No one know that I have them for him but he will get them in due time. I can't wait to take him out shooting for the first time. He is a good boy with alot to look forward too. Next year we are going to go to as many Rockies games as we can. 0 -

Nephews and nieces are great! I am a favorite uncle myself which gives me a lot of joy.

Thanks for the info LKB3rd, beautiful children there. All 3 of mine are boys and my sister and Bro in Law have one in the oven now but they dont know if its a boy or girl yet. I bet your niece is tough as leather dealing with 2 brothers. My wife wants us to hurry and have children, we have been married 11yrs and Ive held her off with poodles and my oldest sister having baby's. I would love to have about 4 but I would like to get our home paid for first. But I couldnt love my nephews more if they were my own. They all 3 counting Isaac who's 19 Months old. He will go to my wife before he will his mom. I dont know if my baby sister will have any or not, she's to career oriented. But who knows?? 0 -
Yea lol, one time my 2 nephews were wrestling, and one of them had his brother by the foot. The one who was being held was going "help, help.." So i am standing there talking to my niece and she goes "hang on, im gonna go smack him down." LOL, like "Sorry for the interruption, this will only take a second." She went and wacked her brother with a frisbee haha. Very funny 0
