Keltec p40

I went to the range and found out this gun was disappointing. About 80% of the shots fired the gun jammed. It would eject the case most of the time but wouldn't slide back and load another round. Any Idea how to fix this problem?

    Stop limp wristing it when you fire,check the springs because I had one of these for alittle while and shot a great deal and never had a problem out of it.My friend did get an empty chamber but an ejected case because he didnt hold his wrist tight enough he tried again and stiffened up and it ran fine.

    I own 2 and regularly carry one. One of the problems with these is the magazine. They made 3 variation and the last one is the only one that works reliably. You can also use a double stack 11 round S&W mag. It will stick out of the well, but usually works well. Check on the Kel-Tec owners web sight for a write-up on the factory mags.

    They stopped making the P-40 because the recoil was so strong that folks tended to limp wrist it and cause a jam. You can either learn to hold it better, buy a P-11 upper in 9mm and shoot it (still can't limp wrist). Or, sell the gun and buy a new P-11. The P-40's bring a good price because they are no longer made.

    WTH?So owning a Kel-Tec or previously owning one makes you white trash?It seems more like making a comment about sex with people of ah ah color is ACTUALLY tends more to make you white trash than owning a cheaper pistol.

    If having sex with tanned women and shooting Kel-Tec makes me white trash, then call me JimBob. Sure beats the hell out of shooting tanned women and having sex with George Kellgren!

    Seems too small for my hand. Maybe i'll get that bottom lip on my magazine. My pinky had nothing to grab. Shooting it with one hand seemed to work out better on the jamming for some reason though. 3 in about 18 rounds jammed(better than what i was doin before).
    After another 200 rouunds i'll decide it i should replace it with that springfield XD .45
    I've shot my friends brand new out of the box and no jams and problems.
