    Yes, I figured out how to take it apart and put it back together with the colors aligned.
    Does that count?

    over 20 years ago, I solved, all the colors had almost worn off, I could never do it anymore, too much booze!

    They aren't hard, really. Just line up the colors on the corners first. Thats really all there is too it.

    Correct. It is important to remember that the center square will always be a center square (Paul Lynde?) no matter how you turn the cube. I really don't care much for puzzels but I gave one of these to my father when he was in the hospital in the mid 1980s as a way for him to keep his mind active while laying in bed all day. It took him all of about 20 minutes to figure out a series of algorithm's to solve the puzzel. He was then kept busy as doctors, nurses and other patients brought in their cubes for him to solve.

    Never could solve the cube, but the RUBIK'S pyramid was easy. In fact, I still have one now.
