Programmer chip for the computer, shift kit for the transmission's valve body, headers, exhaust, and a Vortech supercharger kit. Plus a 6 inch suspension lift, rear locker, 4:10 gearing, and 35x12.50 swampers on 15x10 white 8 spoke rims.

The basic stuff would work good. Headers, gears, maybe some suspension. I would stay away from the computer chips unless you have one custom done on a dyno. Otherwise they are known to actually make the car run worse.
Those 351's make great torque so I really dont think you'll need more power. Just go out and beat the hell out of it and have fun !!

DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT !!

The more things change the more they stay the same. It's still all about air flow.
What you do to it depends on what you want to do with it.
Are you wanting a trai buggy to wheel? Or are you just wanting more hp?

You could always put this in it.

Be sure and get the cruise control switch changed out! It's free. Just take it to a Ford dealership.

I am too, but we don't say the C word or the D word for that matter at the shop.

    Here's a front view.

CGR-Not to hijack the thread but we spent all weekend at the top of your hill. Took the kids hiking down to the big and little falls. Can't walk now.

I have my 94 Bronco XLT that is in near mint condition.

I have the 5.0 motor with only about 24000 miles on it (the body has a little over 200000 miles, but it had a brand new crate motor installed by ford about 2 1/2 years ago), K&N high flow intake system, Mallory Ignition, and Flowmaster Exaust.

I am only running 31x10.50 tires on it but am thinking of going to 33" and a 2" lift after these tires wear out.

I do not want to get to carried away with modifications because this is my daily driver.

Ok,bud, and this is from someone who is just Queer for fords:

Good chips, (one's from Hyper, superchip, Ford Motorsport) will work just grand, but are not world beaters. Maybe a few horses, little bit of Torque.) Since yours is 'obd II' life gets easier for ya.

K&N filter..and bigger throttle plate assy....

Headers. Kind of a quandry, as really good headers will make the deal rich, because the parameters of the comp aren't wide enough to deal wtth the flow.....o2 sensor see's less of what it's looking for as the gasses fly by, and say's coll, add more fuel. go with something that has 1 5/8's (nothing bigger!) primary's. Premium alumakote blackjacks work well, and fit great, however, go the long dollar and and effort, and buy the top of the line mr Gasket sandwich style gaskets. TIP!!!! Install the headers, bring the engine to operating temp, and allow to cool completely, and pull, then coat the threads with hi temp thread locker. also, a good exhaust shop can bend up a set of duals. make sure that they cross the left bank over between the flywheel cover and trans crossmember, and run it with the right side above the crossmember, between the t-case and frame rail. they should look like they are stacked. split them and go to the back. big pipes sound cool, but they rob low end from a windsor. if you are wanting 'emissions legal, buy a set of cheap one size fits all cats, and weld them in. don't bither with mufflers. It gives it a nice raspy sound. TIP: the closer to the back of the system the muffler are, the deeper the tone, further ahead? that raspy crackly sound. drill a 1/8th inch hole right behind the cats, (or mufflers, or a 1/16th hole 1": from each flange on each primary tube for a nice flame and light show every time you let off the gas (especially works well with carburated fords My 86 351 ho burned a blue flame out the straight pipes in the back and a nice 3 foot flameball when I'd let off of it.)

Not a big believer in a shift kit for the e4od's.....planetaries don't like anything resembling a shock.

Cam would be a decent project.....something that rocks between 2900-5500. ford motorsport or comp cams have the 2 best.....

extra protection? Wix makes a 2 qt filter for the ford

(PS, in the case that some out there think that I'm a 'fender leaning Mouth Breather', I've owned nothing but 80-93 ford f-150 4x4's and Broncos over the last 15 years. My last performance build-up was a Holley 2 bbl equipped 351 cleveland that made 477 hp with the 2bbl, and 535 with a 780 vac sec 4 holer. we ran the engine in my semi late at 89-9100 rpm for an entire season. reverse cooled, reverse oiled. did I mention that I'm a little 'queer' for my fords? :) )

    Good luck and have fun!

Hey GunHawke, check out www.Fordtruckenthusiast.com and www.fullsizebronco.com Both sites are great and have plenty of walkthru repairs and other modifications. Worked wonders with my old '88 Beast.

You've got great style, CGR. Mind if I pick your brain when it comes to building the driveline for my Ranger?

An engine is nothing but an air pump, the more effecient the air goes in and out the more power you will make.

Give me a budget and I can put together a great plan for you,
