"Buckeye" candy recipe
These are one of my favorites at this time of year so I thought I'd share the recipe with all of you:
BUCKEYES
1 stick butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
6 cups confectioners sugar
1 package semi sweet chocolate chips
1/4 stick parafin wax
Combine all ingredients until it forms a ball.
Melt chocolate with parafin wax in double boiler (this thins it out and holds it on the candy)
Roll peanut butter mixture into balls and dip them in the chocolate.
Put on wax paper to set.
Store in fridge.
