School days again

Well i started my 1st day at welding school today and enjoyed it.ya,ll ought to have seen the look on the teachers face when he found his apple i brought him,and again when he found out i was 47 years older then he is.Whats scary is half the kids i m in class cant do simple math without a calculator,dont have a clue how to do math in there heads!one kid told me he wasnt gonna be a welder all his life and end up like me!I didnt say to him what i thought of his statment ,figgured i,d hafta stay after school or somethin.But at any rate i,m gonna learn my welding and who knows,may go for an electricion class after that!Thanks,Paul

    Congrats on your first day. Ain't nothing wrong with a little electrical knowledge. Sure will help you out along the way.

    electrical knowledge is well worth learning, being able to install an outlet, or a light socket, saves you tons of money. My dad was a union electrician for 20 years. and he definately passed some of his knowledge onto me.

    I want to learn to weld too. The local vocational school has classes in the evening.
    Just need to pay the money and do it or I'll keep putting it off.

    Weld anything but the crack of dawn or a broken heart, have the rod to work on that one.[:D][:D][:D]

    Good for you! I'm back in school after almost 20 years out. My son worked as the cashier at a CAS event for my brother and I and I made him do it without a calculator. He's 9 by the way. On the 3rd day I offered him a calculator because I knew it would be busier and he turned it down! Takes after his mammy![:D]
